User Levels Explained

Hello everyone!

We are getting a wave of the same question coming across the help desk right now.

That question is "Can you increase my user level?" or some form of it.


We had been honoring a users level if they were above 1 on another marketplace but we quickly realized that it wouldn't work.
The leveling system is coded in a way to increase a users level from 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 to Level X, which is a staff selected service.


Any user level that is increased from 1 to 2, 3, 4, or 5 will automatically be reset after an update gets pushed through.
The only levels that will stay the same are X3, X4, and X5
This doesn't mean you should open a ticket on the help desk and ask to be increased to a level X member...

Can we code something into the system that will let manual level increases work through updates? Yes.
Would you rather us focus on bugs and updates to make MonsterBacklinks a better marketplace? We assume that's a YES.
This is why we will not be able to upgrade your user levels for now. It will only slow down the advancement of our marketplace.


For now, user levels will need to be earned and we cannot manually increase someones level.
We hope to honor levels in the near future, but for now, we want to focus on bugs/edits/add-ons/features so you have a better experience here.
